چکیده
Abstract In this letter we prove explicitly that if the Hartman effect exists for an arbitrary “unit cell” potential, then it also a periodic system constructed using same potential repeatedly. We further show exists, tunneling time in limiting case of sufficiently thick is as its system. This true any value intervening gap between consecutive Thus, generalized always occurs general multiple copies single which shows effect.

On the generalized Hartman effect presumption in semiconductors and photonic structures
: We analyze different examples to show that the so-called generalized Hartman effect is an erroneous presumption. The results obtained for electron tunneling and transmission of electromagnetic waves through superlattices and Bragg gratings show clearly the resonant character of the phase time behavior so that a generalized Hartman effect is not expected to occur. A reinterpretation of the exp...
متن کاملThe Laguerre process and generalized Hartman--Watson law
In this paper, we study complex Wishart processes or the so-called Laguerre processes (Xt)t≥0. We are interested in the behaviour of the eigenvalue process; we derive some useful stochastic differential equations and compute both the infinitesimal generator and the semi-group. We also give absolute-continuity relations between different indices. Finally, we compute the density function of the s...

متن کاملDelay time and the hartman effect in quantum tunneling.
A general relation between the group delay and the dwell time is derived for quantum tunneling. It is shown that the group delay is equal to the dwell time plus a self-interference delay. The Hartman effect in quantum tunneling is explained on the basis of saturation of the integrated probability density (or number of particles) under the barrier.
متن کاملThe Hartman-Grobman Theorem
The Hartman–Grobman Theorem (see [3, page 353]) was proved by Philip Hartman in 1960 [5]. It had been announced byGrobman in 1959 [1], likely unbeknownst to Hartman, and Grobmanpublished his proof in 1962 [2], likely without knowing of Hartman’s work. (Grobman attributes the question to Nemycki and an earlier partial result to R.M. Minc (citing Nauč. Dokl. Vysš. Školy. Fiz.-Mat. Nauki 1 (1958))...
